Wonder (The Movie)

Auggie is a regular kid, who does regular kid things, he loves ice cream, Star Wars, and has the dream of being an astronaut. But the thing is, he isn't just like ordinary kids, he was made to stand out, that's because he was born with several facial deformities. Auggie underwent several different surgeries to help Auggie, like when he was born, he underwent surgery to help him breathe. Although Auggie went through many surgeries to fix his face, his face will never fully go back to normal.
Auggie was homeschooled most of his life by his mother. He also has a father and older sister. Auggie's mom says that he should probably start school since he is already going into the fifth grade. Although Auggie doesn't want to, he doesn't make a big fuss about it and decides to go.
A couple days before school, the principal called Auggie in so he could be shown around the school by a couple of other students that will be in his grade. There were three students. Two boys and one girl. One of the boys made fun of Auggie a lot, but the other two didn't so much.
When Auggie started school there was one thing that he was looking forward to the most, and one thing that he was the best at, and that thing was science. He loved science, and his mom taught him very well,  so, he was easily the best when it came to that subject.
Auggie and one of the kids that were showing him around gradually became friends. Auggie finally felt like he had someone, but that happiness was short-lived.
Auggie loved Haloween. For one, you can dress up in whatever you like, and too, he can cover up his face. Auggie told his one friend what he was going to dress up in, but that ended up backfiring, so he had to wear a different costume instead. This costume covered up Auggie's whole entire face. As Auggie was entering the classroom, he heard his friend talking to a group of boys that have been making fun of Auggie since day one, one of the boys being the kid who was making fun of Auggie on the school tour. Auggie's friend was saying things like he didn't actually like Auggie, and that Auggie was following him around like a dog. Auggie's friend didn't know he was there of course since he was in a different costume than what he was supposed to be in, and he couldn't see that it was Auggie's face at all.
Auggie left the classroom and ended up throwing up and going home. He was able to make friends with other people though, and eventually, the two made up. But now it is time to talk about Auggie's older sister's point of view.
Auggie's older sister, Via, loved Auggie and her family. Sometimes, she just wished she was noticed a little more. Her mom always looked at Auggie as the center of attention, and never really seemed to notice her that much.
Via was pretty used to it though, but things started to get really bad on her first day at High School.
Via's best friend Miranda seemed to have changed a lot since she went over to summer camp. Everyone seemed to love her, but that was only because in summer camp Miranda pretended that Auggie was her little brother, and that made her more popular telling people about his facial deformities. Of course, Auggie is technically her younger brother, she's known Auggie for the longest time, and always supported and helped him when he needed it.
Via really had no other friends other than Miranda, and because Miranda was avoiding her, she had no one else to talk to. Via ended up deciding to join the drama club, and although she wasn't the best, she was enjoying herself and ended up getting a boyfriend. Miranda felt super guilty, but she was too scared to confront Via now.
Via's life seemed to be slowly coming back together again, her school life, that is, and ended up being the understudy of the lead role for the play, Miranda's understudy. Though right before the play Miranda just couldn't do it and Via had to play the main lead. She ended up doing amazing, and Miranda and she eventually made up.
I believe this story shows a lot of the different emotions and personalities of the characters to make you understand their side of the story, and I think it was a very good movie, and I'm soon going to be reading the book!
