The Case Study of Vanitas is an excellent show with a total of two seasons. I think it is definitely interesting, and a bit sad too.
Basically, things such as vampires exist in this show. Every vampire was born on the blood moon, or the night when the moon looks a reddish color. One night though, a vampire named vanitas was born on the blue moon, the night when the moon was a pure bright blue. Vanitas was looked at as an outcast because of this difference and wanted revenge on every single red-mooned vampire that treated him unfairly. This is how they decided to create a book that contains everything inside, and even a bit of magic.
The book was passed down to the current Vanitas. Vanitas doesn't use it for revenge though, he uses it to help people. On one of his missions to cure someone, he met his partner. His partner was a red-mooned vampire, and they were very good friends. They went on different missions together and even found other friends.
But this whole story leads up to the day when Vanitas dies.
