Invisible Emmie

I watch a lot of shows, yes, but it's not like I don't read books. This isn't a chapter book, it has a lot of pictures, but it does have a lot of pages. If you enjoy reading check this book out! You know your normal teenage 7th grade to high schooler girl getting bullied and what not until BANG, they are magically the most popular girl of the school? Well, this story is similar, but a lot better. Emmie is in a family of 5, her, her parents (mom and dad), and her siblings (brother and sister). Emmie's siblings are very much older than her. I mean, she is in I can't remember the exact grade but I think 8th or 7th grade while her siblings are basically full adults in college or something like that. She does really miss them. The bad thing is because she is the last child her parents treat her like trash. What I mean is, the oldest who is usually the first gets a lot of things most of the time because their parents don't exactly know how to parent. In Emmie's case, her parents have a lot of experience and tend to sometimes do things that only really crazy parents would do. For example, her mom makes her eat mostly vegetables every single day, with barely any meat. She's also very lonely at home. She doesn't have a lot of things to really do either. Her parents are out for work most of the time so the only thing she can really do is school. There isn't a lot of shows Emmie likes to watch, and she has an old flip phone that she can barely do anything on (another thing about her parents is they didn't even decide to get her an iPhone) so her day orbits around school, homework, and sleepovers with her best friend Brianna.
Brianna is Emmie's one and only friend. And her best friend for that matter. If you couldn't already tell Emmie is a really shy person, and she doesn't really decide to talk at school. Brianna is the only person she ever decided to open her mouth too. Brianna is a very smart student and is in the honors program at their school. Brianna, even though Emmie and she aren't in the same classes (since Emmie isn't in the honors program) helps her with as much with Emmie's math homework as she can. Even though Brianna is a good person overall, she does have a couple of downsides. For example, ever since I think it was kindergarten, she has been a LITTLE bit bossy to Emmie. Again, but a little bit. Do go out thinking that Brianna is a bad friend because again she's a really good friend. Just a tiny bit controlling. Emmie really doesn't mind though. Other than that, Emmie has literally NO ONE ELSE to talk to, besides her siblings but that has to be over a phone, and having to remind Emmie that she has a phone from the 1900s doesn't really make her feel good at all.
You're probably wondering, "what is the main point of this story anyway?" Well, to answer your question, it is really about how Emmie came out of her shell and became friends with more people. She started talking to more people and was actually able to feel good about herself. THE END.
